With 18 cabins and 110 beds, along with showers, flushing toilets, and sinks, Camp Monache provides families with a comfortable, rustic getaway. The camp also features a dining deck, game room, swimming pool, arts and crafts cabin, campfire arena, and a fully equipped commercial kitchen with a large pantry, walk-in refrigerator and freezer, and dishwashing station—everything needed for a convenient and enjoyable stay.

Families provide their own transportation and drive themselves to Camp Coldwater and to activities throughout the surrounding area. Each day, families may choose to explore independently and plan their own activities or participate in the suggested activities and destinations for that day. This flexible format allows every family to enjoy the trip at its own pace.

Outdoor recreation opportunities include hiking, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, mountain biking, and exploring interactive nature displays. Families can drive through the Tunnel Log, enjoy the spectacular views from Moro Rock, tour Crystal Cave or Boyden Cavern, raft the Kings River, attend ranger-led programs, go horseback riding, or see the towering Giant Sequoias on a Giant Forest tour. A year-round stream also flows through the camp, where trout can often be spotted swimming in the clear mountain water.
